PHANTOM LOAD – 4 SERIES

The PowerMaster 4 Series was introduced to replace old, outdated, heavy, and cumbersome load box / reference standard field meter testers.  It is a groundbreaking design that features a universal zero insertion force ANSI meter socket.  Unlike the true three phase 7 Series and 5 Series PowerMaster models, the 4 Series tests meters under series / parallel load conditions.  The 4 Series will test  self-contained and transformer rated meter forms with ease.  Meters can be tested for Wh, VARh, VAh, forward and reverse energy flow, individual elements, and demand.  For solid state meters, the 4 Series features an integrated IR pulse detector.  If the meter is not solid-state or does not have an infrated pulse output, you can utilize one of our other meter pickups.

For phantom load meter testing any ANSI meter form except 7S and 24S, the 4 Series senses the site voltage with its included alligator clip voltage cable.  Through its universal meter socket, the 4 Series parallels the voltage and sources current to the appropriate pins depending on the meter form being tested.  NO voltage or current jumpers, and NO meter socket adapters are needed!
