310 Quick Start Guide

1. Performing Site Tests:

1. Press the <Site Detail> key to begin measurements. 
2. Verify Service Type is correct and the Site Description is entered.  {Use <SETUP> key to change settings.}
3. Connect voltage clips and current plugs (white side up).  Normal definitions are: Red=”A”, Black=”B”, Yellow=”C”.
4. The Site Test data screen is displayed (shown below).  Review results for proper wiring.

Press      to display Vector Diagram.  (Press again to see Waveform.)

2. Performing Meter Tests:

1. Press the <System Power> key. 
2. Verify Service Type is correct and the Site Description is entered.  {Use <SETUP> key to change settings.}
3. Connect voltage clips and current plugs (white side up). Normal definitions are: Red=”A”, Black=”B”, Yellow=”C”.
4. Press <MORE> key to enter the meter constant (Kh or Ke) and the desired number of revolutions (or Total Test Time).
5. Use the <PULSE> key or install the IR pickup and adjust until meter pulses are indicated. 
6. Press the <ENTER> key to start the Meter Test and accumulate desired number of pulses.  Review the displayed results.  (Press <Clear> to restart a test; press <ENTER> to stop.)

3. Performing CT Tests  

Performing CT Burden Test Only

1. Press the <CT Tests> key.
2. Enter the Site Description.  (Use <SETUP> key to change settings.)
3. Insert the Burden Test Plug (normally “A” current plug) into the test switch “A” current position.
4. Press <1> or <4> key to select a CT Burden Test.  {Press <6> to move to next CT.}
5. Review the CT Burden test results.  If warning appears, press <Clear> to repeat test. 
6. Move the Burden Test Plug to the “B” or “C” position of the test switch.  Press the <ENTER> key, and repeat Steps 4-5 to test the next CT.

Performing CT Burden + Ratio Test

1. Press the <CT Tests> key.

2. Enter the Site Description.  (Use <SETUP> key to change settings.)

3. Insert the Burden Test Plug (normally “A” current plug) into the test switch “A” current position.

4. Wrap the Flex Probe around the primary conductors of the CT for A Phase (polarity: arrow toward the source).

5. Press <2> or <5> key to select a CT Burden + Ratio Test.  {Press <6> to move to next CT.}

6. Review the CT Burden + Ratio test results.  If warning appears, press <Clear> to repeat test. 

7. Move the Burden Test Plug to the “B” or “C” position of the test switch and the Flex Probe to the next CT.  Press the <ENTER> key, and repeat Steps 4-6 to test the next CT.

After any CT Test, press      to display graph of results.
