Powermetrix History:
A Legacy of Innovation

In 1994, Powermetrix was founded in Knoxville, TN with the goal of engineering effective, user-friendly products that help make electric meter site testing faster and easier. We saw that the industry needed modernized options for accurate, cost-effective testing, so we put our knowledge and experience to work.

One year later, we released our first meter site testing solution, the Powermate 330. It was the first true three phase analyzer that measured harmonics.  Shortly after the industry-wide acceptance of the Powermate 330, Powermetrix joined Technology for Energy Corporation (TEC-USA) in 1996. We went on to innovate more products that improved the accuracy, functionality, and ease of use, always keeping the needs of the meter technician in mind. This includes our current range of durable PowerMaster® site testers, along with software, adapters, and a full complement of accessories.

Providing Simple Solutions to Complex Meter Site Testing Problems
Twenty years after our founding, Powermetrix still takes pride in delivering electric meter site testing solutions that are the most compact and lightweight in their class.  We understand that precision, functionality, and ease of use are the most important factors when considering equipment to replace or complement your existing technology. We deliver all three with our selection of innovative products, then back them up with customer care that is second to none.

What Our Clients Say

“We started to look at harmonics with the Powermaster 3302 series and when we found our problem, the clarity and accuracy of the 3302 and its sign waves and harmonic graphs it made it real easy to prove to the customer they had a problem. We have incorporated testing for harmonics at all locations and with the help from the Powermaster 3302 we have started to really clean up our system and improve our AMR metering system."

Nikki Dinges

Garkane Energy

"Now the 3 Series is the ticket! It's light, easy to carry, you never need to disconnect the cables and you can custom fit your own device (like I did) to carry it. What I like most about the unit is that I can do a good burden test and it lets me know if it passes or fails."
Jerome Hill

SECO Energy
"The Powermaster 3 Series has been the best piece of testing equipment we have ever purchased for our meter department. We are able to do an Integrated Site Test which enables us to test everything at one time at each test site."

Valley Electric Association, Inc.
"The 3 Series is very light weight yet can give us critical real-time information of the metering service we are testing. Metering has come a long way and Powermetrix is helping us keep up with the change of technology."
